Historically, the Rialto Theater never had a Criminologist until we acquired Jesse Merlin. I guess good things come to those who wait. Jesse is simply the best. He has broken new ground in a role that normally doesn't catch the imagination of the audience. But Jesse can really draw an audience. Besides being one of stars he is also our current Emcee. Jesse brings 12 years of Rocky experience to our show.
Jesse is one of the most distinguished performers on our powerful roster. A "membre d'honneur," he performed for six weeks in the summer of 2005 with the premiere Paris shadowcast The Sweet Transvestites. He's also guest performed with: Bawdy Caste, San Jose, California New York City Cast Lambda Psi Phi, Atlanta, Georgia Lips Down on Dixie, Atlanta, Georgia
and is a former cast member of both Barely Legal of Oakland, CA and Midnight Insanity of Long Beach, CA.
When not occupied with Rocky-related activities, Merlin pursues his career as a full-time professional opera singer.
