Rocky Horror 1990s – when movie accuracy was still satisfying
Much of DEVO's stage and Cast Director experience
comes from his involvement in Rocky Horror in Northern Arizona.
He performed in several different theaters in several different cities
in the mid 90s while attending college. He was Co-Cast Director
of the legendary “Cabbage Snatch Kids” (CSK) of Flagstaff,
Arizona. He started off as a Brad but when the cast's Frank quit
due to a quall with DEVO, the cast's solution was for DEVO to perform
the role until a replacement was found. They were so happy with
DEVO's performance they never replaced him. CSK performed on
Fridays & Saturdays while having full rehearsals on Thursday.
This type of schedule seasoned DEVO beyond his years and left him
looking for the next step in the development of the Rocky Horror
experience.
“Movie accuracy was easily achievable when you’re
performing three times a week”, says DEVO. In 1997 DEVO graduated
from College and had assumed his Rocky Horror days were over, but boy
was he wrong. (please see Bio from 1999- present)
