 Dear Rialto Loyalist, We have the most exciting news. Dark Refrain has done such a good job in the last several months since our return to the historic Rialto Theater that we have been assured a regular run of shows again. We will perform the 3rd Saturday of each month starting in January 2009. Thanks to your support our quest to remain the longest running Rocky Horror Picture Show in history continues. We could not have survived without you. Thank you Landmark Theaters and thank you South Pasadena!!! Dark Refrain's next show will be Saturday, June 20th.  Show starts at midnight, Line usually starts around 11pm. $10 General Admission $7 with ROCKY HORROR CHARACTER costume CASH ONLY We provide Special Performances prior to every show so don't be late. Dark Refrain defined – a) verb, to abstain from an impulse of darkness b) noun, darkness recurring at intervals (3 casts repeating) Dark Refrain (DR) is the third generation of Rocky Horror at the Rialto Theater in South Pasadena. This cast was formally known as Rocky's Whores (1999-2005) and Voyeuristic Intention (1980 – 1999). Combined the casts have fortified a 31 year legacy and is the longest running Rocky Horror Picture Show in history. We feature the most seasoned performing cast in Rocky Horror today, our performing cast averages more than 12 years experience. The crowning jewel of the cast is our Frank-n-furter, Ray-ven, who is now officially the most prolific performer in RHPS history. Dark Refrain performs on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the beautiful and historic Rialto Theater featuring a 1200 seat auditorium complete with orchestra pit, organ lofts, and balcony. The Rialto is also a well known home to supernatural activity. The ghosts of the Rialto, are a part of the cast and create an atmosphere complementary to the show itself. DR embraces a HIGH energy, screen accurate show, decorated with prop gags. They also have held onto the timeless tradition of performing special vignettes prior to the show (Preshows). The cast of Dark Refrain offers a traditional ''ole school'' style performance. In our cast section you will find access to many of our Cast Members' favorite pics and links, including their MySpace accounts (when applicable).
