First off thank you to all that came down to the last Santa Ana Show. We had a lot of fun. We and the management of the theater are super excited to continue regular viewings at the South Coast Village Theater.

Our next show there is next Friday, May 23rd, midnight.
at

Regency's Village Theater
at South Coast Plaza.
1561 W Sunflower Ave,
Santa Ana, CA 92704
714-557-5701

Directions here.
The theater is huge and because it is in the middle of a business district we can be as loud as we want outside. The theater has 510 seats. It used to be a 720 seat house. Now, the seats are all 44 inches apart and luxurious. We will be running a 35mm print of the movie on a huge screen. We have tons of room to perform in and the theater wants Rocky Horror.
As ALWAYS we will have at least 2 special performances prior to the show. Dark Refrain will be claiming the 3rd Friday of the month there for now on. There are quite a few people I haven't seen since the last Rialto Theater show. So please make it down and check out our new venue.

Speaking of Venues:
Dark Refrain has a huge announcement about our next venue.
In June dark refrain will bring you a double Rocky Horror weekend.
First, on Friday June 20th, we will return to Regency's Village Theater, at South Coast Plaza, Santa Ana.

Then the next day, Saturday, June 21st, we will have another show in a venue you won't believe. That announcement will unfold at the May 23rd, Santa Ana show.
Our double Rocky weekend in June will have more surprises than I can even imagine. including some great Rocky Horror firsts.

Welcome to A Dark Refrain. We are the third generation of Rocky Horror at the Rialto Theater. Combined, the casts of the Rialto had collectively maintained the Rocky Horror tradition at the Rialto Theater for 30 years. We had offered what we think is a Traditional, Vintage, Classic, Rocky Horror Picture Show. We performed at least two special performances each night, before the show. Many people would say that we lampooned Rocky Horror.

The Rialto Theater had Projected the 1975 Mono Print for 29 and a half years. For you non-Rocky geeks, that's the only one left in circulation that we know of. It is missing the incredibly annoying ''Superheros'' scene and it refrains Time Warp during the credits.

The Rialto is an old Vaudeville stage from the 1920s. It was a one screen movie palace in the golden age of Hollywood . Today it stands as a one of Pasadena 's most treasured historical landmarks. Its beautiful architecture and rich supernatural history made the Rialto the perfect environment for Dark Refrain's show.

The cast performs in the largest Rocky staging area around. The Rialto come complete with an orchestra pit, organ lofts, secret doors, two glowing pair of demon eyes that glow from the gargoyle over the stage and yes, ghosts. We have a 400 seat balcony hovering over 800 more seats on the main level.

The cast of Dark Refrain offered a traditional ''ole school'' style performance. In our cast section you will find access to many of our cast members' favorite pics and links, including their MySpace accounts, when applicable. You will also notice a link to Dark Refrain MySpace on every page
